May 8th.

We lost a lot of fish and a lot of tackle today. John Agricola caught and released a big
amberjack but while fighting two others about the same size, they were bit off by sharks. We went one for two on tuna. One was bit off by another fish but we don't know what kind. A small mahi mahi for the dinner table rounded out the day.

May 7th.   There were plenty of tuna around today but mostly hard to get. We had a tripple on and Wayne Neff got one out of the three. Wayne also caught and released two sharks.

May 5th.   This 3/4 day trip was a food fish mission. We got a spearfish early in the game. We got into some tuna too so there was more for the table. On the troll home, 2 mahi mahi rounded out the day for Carolyn and Jeff Patenaude.

May 1st.  A shark gave Randy Wormsbecher the big fight today. We caught a small mahi mahi on the way home trolling.

Apr. 30th.

We didn't have much time to fish because the weather turned on us. Steve Duckett got a
shark doing a bottom drop before it got rough.

April 25th.  Today was one of those awesome days that anglers dream of. It started off slow but built up from there. Dale Riggles and I were alone on the Aloha Kai and I ended up fighting fish too. A little baraccuda started the action and Dale wasn't impressed. He was a lot happier when he bagged a spearfish not too long after. We had several skipjack tuna fights and I used

one of them to get an amberjack. On the way home, Dale caught and released a 400 lb. Pacific blue marlin. We had just a little time still on our hands and since we had a cooler full of tuna, I sent one to the bottom and Dale added a shark to the list of catches for the day.

April 24th.   Some days are harder than others to find fish. A 3/4 day can really pinch the clock if the fish aren't biting good. That's the way today was but we managed to get Greg Hartman a shark on the way in.

April 23rd.

Some people just don't realize what "big game" fishing is. The guys decided to let "the girls" be the first up. Carrie Henry got this
mahi mahi about 1/2 way in on stand-up tackle before realizing it was a bit too big for her. Jimmy Jones finished the job. Jimmy also caught a spearfish that we released. Mike Henry caught and released his own spearfish and also caught and released an amberjack.

April 21st.

The first catch of the day was a surprise.
Pompino dolphin are a rare catch in Hawaii and we got a double hook up. They're a very close relative to the mahi mahi, also known as dolphin fish and those are common here in Hawaii. We got a little one of those later in the day. On the way home, Tyler Josefson caught a good size spearfish.

April 17th.

After catching a few bait fish on this 3/4 day, Dave Trimmer hooked up an
amberjack with a hard fighting attitude. The wind started picking up so we headed South where I thought the seas would be calmer. The seas kept getting bigger and bigger so bottom fishing was out. We didn't get any trolling bites either.
