You're probably on this page because Capt. Jeff was already booked solid during your
stay, you are looking for a shared charter or some other type of specialty charter.
Capt. Jeff is not a booking agent or charter desk, this is simply a referral for some of the best charter operators Kona has to offer. You contact the captains directly by email.
There's three criteria for being on this page:
1) Higher than average catch rate.
2) Clean and maintained boat.
3) Nice captain to spend the day with.

The "Aloha Kai" is a 35' Phoenix operated by Capt. Bob Dorigo. If I'm booked on my other boat or taking the day off, Capt. Bob runs the Aloha Kai. Bob and I fished as a team for years and he mixes up his fishing style just like I do to ensure a catch. He offers the same hands-on experience that I do too but sorry, no rebate offer. Email your questions to Capt. Bob. |

The "Hooked Up" is a 39' Uniflite operated by Capt. Chuck Wigzell. Chuck is fast becoming my biggest competetor (and friend) when it comes to targeting shark, amberjack, almaco jack and giant trevally from the bottom. He also does well on the troll. Email Capt. Chuck for more information. |

The "Intrepid" is a 42' (LOA) Bertram Yachtfisher operated by Capt.
Rick Reger. You may notice that I run this boat also. Capt. Rick runs the boat as the main captain and when I use the boat, Rick is my crew. He is a commercial fisherman by trade so he's well aquainted with both top water fishing and bottom fishing. Make reservations with the boat owner, Capt. Doug Dankanyin. |

The "Lepika" is a 33' Force operated by Capt. Russ Nitta. Russ enjoys fishing a variety of styles to keep the day interesting. Russ is one of the best yellowfin tuna captains in Kona. Saltwater Fly fishing is gaining popularity in Hawaii and this is just another one of the specialties he offers on this boat. Email Capt. Russ for details on his unique fishing experience. |

The "Sundowner" is a 35' Bertram operated by Capt. Erik Rusnak. Erik is a world traveling angler himself and the manufacturer of some of the best marlin lures on the market. He's serious about going for "the big ones" and is one of the few captains to land a "grander" (over 1000 lbs.) marlin. Email Capt. Erik for more information. |
| The "Why
Knot" is a 28'
Precision operated by Capt. Billy Dorr. Billy operates one of the smallest charter boats in Kona. A 28' boat is a great deal for up to 3 anglers. Contact Billy by Email for availability.
